Build a pay range for a job posting
Healthcare Headhunters recruits healthcare professionals for employers. No upfront fee. You pay only if you hire.
This is what we do all day: recruit healthcare professionals.
Published BLS percentiles, not an invented range for your exact title.
Figures are published BLS percentiles only. We do not adjust, project or interpolate them, and we do not suggest a range of our own. Results are free on screen. Method: methodology. BLS OEWS May 2025.
What does this range mean in a healthcare job posting?
Healthcare Headhunters returns the published middle band and median for the occupation and area you select. That is source evidence, not a recommended pay policy. Your employer decides what range it can offer and confirms any posting obligations that apply where the person will work.
Keep the occupation mapping with the copied range. If the title maps to a broader job, a reader should not mistake the band for a specialty-only survey. A registered nurse distribution, for example, does not independently describe every hospital unit. Removing the note would change what the source appears to say.
The source line names BLS, the wage reference period, the occupation code, and the area. Use those details when you share the result internally. A guide edition date is different from the wage period. The copy action is meant to preserve the explanation, not just a pair of dollar amounts.
A published band does not decide which applicants will accept your opening. State the schedule and duties honestly alongside your employer’s approved pay range. A night role, a traveling role, and a permanent local opening can involve different choices even when they share an occupational wage table.
If a point is unavailable, the tool does not fill it with a guessed wage. If a point is top-coded, the result says that it is a lower bound. Read those notices before using the output. A posting should not turn a limited observation into a firm promise about the upper end.
Confirm local pay-transparency and employment rules with the people responsible for your postings. This tool is not a legal determination or a substitute for an employer-approved range. It provides a traceable BLS band you can discuss while preparing the job, without inventing a specialty estimate.
Does the generated band replace your employer’s pay range?
No. It is a published occupational band with a source line. Your employer must decide its actual offer terms and follow the posting rules that apply.
Can you remove the broader-occupation note from the copied result?
That would conceal the mapping limit. Keep the note with the range so a reader knows what BLS reports and what it does not report separately.
