Operations and leadership roles: chief executives and administrators, COOs, CFOs, nursing executives, regional and VP operations leaders, practice and center administrators, revenue cycle, compliance, quality and medical directors. The full list is on the roles page.

We calibrate the seat with you, map the market, research the real people, contact them directly and qualify them in live conversations. You see a short list with a written brief on each person. See the process page for every stage.
Why headhunting
The leaders you want already have jobs. They do not read postings and they rarely apply. A search that begins with a post draws whoever is available. A search that begins with a map reaches who is good.
No upfront fee. You pay only if you hire.
We offer a candidate replacement guarantee on standard search agreements. The applicable period and exact terms are set out in the signed client recruiting agreement.
What should you send us about this role?
Send us the role, where the person will work and what needs to change with this hire. We will ask about the work, not just the title. Share any license or schedule limits that could rule someone out before we begin the search.

What kinds of leadership searches do we handle?
We handle permanent direct hire searches for hospitals, physician groups, outpatient providers, and post-acute organizations. The roles include chief executive, administrator, COO, CFO, nursing executive, regional operations leader, practice administrator, revenue cycle leader, compliance leader, quality leader, and medical director. We talk about the work, the reporting line, and the change you need from the hire.
For a hospital CEO search, we look at board reporting, physician relationships, and organizationwide decisions. For a clinical director search, we focus on daily oversight, service line decisions, and how the role works with physicians, nursing, and administration.
How does a hospital CEO search differ from a clinical director search?
A hospital CEO search reaches across the whole organization. We ask who the CEO reports to, what the board wants, and where final authority sits for budget, strategy, and major staffing calls. The work is broader than one department.
A clinical director search is closer to the service line. We ask who sets standards, who approves changes, and how the director handles daily decisions with physicians and nursing leaders. Board reporting may sit above the role, so we separate that line clearly.
What do we ask before we begin?
We start with the seat, not just the title. We ask what the person will do on a normal day, what needs to change in this hire, who they report to, and which choices belong to the board, physician-owner, or executive team. That keeps the brief grounded in the actual job.
We also ask about location, travel between sites, schedule limits, and any license or credential detail that affects who belongs in the search. If there are split duties between operations and clinical leadership, we want that spelled out before outreach starts.
How do we reach people who are not applying online?
We map the market and contact people directly. Many strong leaders already have jobs and never post resumes. We speak with them about the work, the reporting line, and the reasons they might consider a change.
You see a short list with a written brief on each person. We share the background, current scope, and the parts of the role that match the search. That gives you a real candidate set, not an unread pile of applications.
Who makes the hiring decision?
You make the hiring decision. We present people who match the brief and keep the process moving through interviews and offer discussions. We do not blur ownership of the seat or the final choice.
For board-reporting roles, we also clarify who interviews and who signs off. That may include the board chair, a physician-owner, or another executive leader. We ask about that line early, so the search does not drift.
What do we need from you first?
Send us the role, the site, the reporting line, and the change you want from this hire. Tell us whether the seat sits with a hospital, physician group, outpatient setting, or post-acute provider. We can then shape the search around the right work.

What else should you ask about this search?
How do you handle a hospital CEO search with board reporting?
We start by clarifying who the CEO reports to and what the board expects from the role. We also ask how the CEO works with physicians, finance, and senior leaders. That keeps the search tied to the reporting line and the actual decisions.
What changes in a clinical director search?
We focus on service line work, daily oversight, and the decisions that sit inside the department. We ask who approves staffing changes, who reviews performance, and how the director works with physicians and nursing leaders. The search stays close to the job, not the title.
Can you search for physician-owner roles as well as board-reporting roles?
Yes, we search roles that report to a physician-owner, a board, or an executive team. We ask who owns the seat, who interviews, and who makes the final hiring choice before we reach out to candidates.
What should we clarify if the role spans operations and clinical leadership?
Tell us which decisions belong to operations and which belong to clinical leadership. We also need the reporting line, schedule limits, and any license detail that affects the search. That keeps us from presenting people who do not fit the actual work.

What do you get at each step of the search?
Our process for every search: calibrate the seat with you, map the market, research the real people, reach out to each one personally, qualify them in live conversation, then hand you a short list with a written brief on each person and support through the offer.
Search Calibration
You get an agreed brief: the work, reporting line, credentials, schedule, and offer you can make.
Market Mapping
You get a search aimed at relevant backgrounds, including people working now who have not applied.
Professional Contact Intelligence
We check appropriate ways to reach the people identified for your search. You do not have to chase them yourself.
Persistent Personalized Outreach
We explain your actual job and follow up with people who may consider a conversation.
Live Candidate Qualification
You see people we have spoken with about the work, interest, and practical fit, not an unread resume pile.
Candidate Intelligence and Process Support
You get a written brief and support through interviews and offer discussions. You make the hiring decision.
What are the fee and payment terms?
No upfront fee. You pay only if you hire. The signed agreement sets the fee and when it is due, along with the placement terms. We agree those terms before the search starts and before any candidate introductions. Temporary or contract coverage is a separate arrangement.
How long will it take to see a short list?
That depends on the job, schedule, available people, and what your employer can offer. We discuss those constraints before outreach and update you as candidates respond. We do not promise a fixed shortlist date. We check the job brief before arranging interviews. Tell us which parts of the role you can change.
What if a candidate receives a counteroffer?
We ask why the person wants to move and discuss competing decisions before an offer. A counteroffer can still change their choice. Keep the duties and offer clear rather than assuming more money settles every concern. Tell us early if parts of your offer cannot change, so the candidate hears it from us first.
What are the replacement terms?
We offer a candidate replacement guarantee on standard search agreements. The applicable period and exact terms are set out in the signed client recruiting agreement. Ask us to walk through those terms before you sign, so you know how a replacement would work for your opening and who would start it.
What do we not do in a standard permanent search?
We do not bill standard contingency search by the hour or simply repost your job. Temporary coverage is a separate arrangement. Any retainer or different engagement must be agreed, not assumed. Tell us early if you need coverage while the permanent search runs.
