What do we recruit for in revenue cycle and healthcare services companies?
We recruit operators and client-facing leaders for RCM outsourcing, coding, CDI, billing, and related service groups. Many roles are remote or hybrid. On a normal day, these people review queues, answer client questions, track work output, and keep handoffs clean between internal teams and payer-facing work.
We also recruit managers who run teams and speak with health system clients. That includes revenue cycle leaders, coding managers, CDI leaders, denial managers, and service delivery leaders. We ask who they answer to, what they own, and which decisions stay with the client versus the vendor.
Which work details matter most before we start a search?
We ask for the exact service line, client mix, reporting line, and work setting. We also ask what needs to change. That may be missed deadlines, weak client communication, poor team coverage, or uneven coding quality. Those details shape who we reach out to first.
We want to know the tools used each day, the volume mix, and any schedule limits. If the role touches coding, CDI, billing, denial work, or client reporting, we want that spelled out. Clear scope helps us screen for people who have done the same work before.
What kind of candidates usually fit these roles?
Good matches often come from RCM vendors, health systems, billing offices, coding teams, CDI groups, and payer-facing service groups. Some have led distributed teams. Others have run one client site or one line of service. We look for people who can speak to the work in plain terms and explain what they changed.
For leadership searches, we ask how they run one-on-ones, how they review client issues, and how they handle service misses. For operator roles, we ask what they do when work backs up, when a payer rejects claims, or when documentation is thin. We want real examples, not broad claims.
How do we screen for client-service and operational fit?
We talk through a live workday. We ask how they start the day, which reports they check, and what they escalate first. We also ask how they talk with clients when work slips, when coding edits slow things down, or when the team needs a decision from leadership.
We look for people who can hold a steady line with internal staff and external clients. That means clear updates, direct follow-through, and no confusion about ownership. If the role needs remote oversight, we ask how they track work, coach staff, and keep communication moving.
What does the search process look like for a hiring manager?
We begin with the seat, not the title. You tell us what the person will handle, where the work sits, and what problems the hire must solve. We then search beyond active applicants and speak with people already doing this work now.
After outreach and live screening, we share a short list with written notes on each person. We cover background, scope, client exposure, and team leadership history. We stay involved through interviews and offer discussion so you can compare candidates against the work that sits in front of you.
When does this search type need extra detail from us?
Remote roles need closer definition than office-based ones. We ask who sets the schedule, how meetings run, and which issues must be handled the same day. We also ask about credential limits, software exposure, and whether the hire will manage direct reports or only individual work.
If the opening supports a client-facing service line, we want the handoff points mapped early. That includes who approves scope changes, who speaks with the client, and who signs off on process changes. Those details keep the search focused on people who have already worked in that kind of structure.
What else should you ask about this search?
Do you recruit only leaders, or also hands-on operators?
We recruit both. Some searches are for directors and vice presidents. Others are for managers, auditors, coders, billers, CDI specialists, and client service leads. We match the search to the work on the desk, not just the title on the posting.
How do you handle mostly remote roles with a client-services focus?
We ask how the team communicates, how work is assigned, and how performance is reviewed. Remote work can succeed when those pieces are clear. We also ask how the person handles client calls, issue logs, and daily follow-up without being on site.
What should we send before you begin outreach?
Send the job title, the real work, the reporting line, and the change you want from this hire. If there are schedule limits, software needs, or client-specific conditions, send those too. The more concrete the picture, the tighter the search.
Can you support contract or locum coverage for this kind of work?
We arrange locum tenens, travel and contract coverage on request. Credentialing, licensing and malpractice coverage are confirmed per engagement before anyone starts. If you need short-term help while a search is open, we can discuss that path as well.

What do you get at each step of the search?
Our process for every search: calibrate the seat with you, map the market, research the real people, reach out to each one personally, qualify them in live conversation, then hand you a short list with a written brief on each person and support through the offer.
Search Calibration
You get an agreed brief: the work, reporting line, credentials, schedule, and offer you can make.
Market Mapping
You get a search aimed at relevant backgrounds, including people working now who have not applied.
Professional Contact Intelligence
We check appropriate ways to reach the people identified for your search. You do not have to chase them yourself.
Persistent Personalized Outreach
We explain your actual job and follow up with people who may consider a conversation.
Live Candidate Qualification
You see people we have spoken with about the work, interest, and practical fit, not an unread resume pile.
Candidate Intelligence and Process Support
You get a written brief and support through interviews and offer discussions. You make the hiring decision.
What are the fee and payment terms?
No upfront fee. You pay only if you hire. The signed agreement sets the fee and when it is due, along with the placement terms. We agree those terms before the search starts and before any candidate introductions. Temporary or contract coverage is a separate arrangement.
How long will it take to see a short list?
That depends on the job, schedule, available people, and what your employer can offer. We discuss those constraints before outreach and update you as candidates respond. We do not promise a fixed shortlist date. We check the job brief before arranging interviews. Tell us which parts of the role you can change.
What if a candidate receives a counteroffer?
We ask why the person wants to move and discuss competing decisions before an offer. A counteroffer can still change their choice. Keep the duties and offer clear rather than assuming more money settles every concern. Tell us early if parts of your offer cannot change, so the candidate hears it from us first.
What are the replacement terms?
We offer a candidate replacement guarantee on standard search agreements. The applicable period and exact terms are set out in the signed client recruiting agreement. Ask us to walk through those terms before you sign, so you know how a replacement would work for your opening and who would start it.
What do we not do in a standard permanent search?
We do not bill standard contingency search by the hour or simply repost your job. Temporary coverage is a separate arrangement. Any retainer or different engagement must be agreed, not assumed. Tell us early if you need coverage while the permanent search runs.
