- Resolute HB / PB
- Prelude
- Cadence
- Claims Analyst
What does this hire really come down to?
Resolute HB and PB issues often begin before a claim reaches a workqueue. You need an analyst who can inspect Prelude registration choices, Cadence scheduling data, charge routing, edits, and claim follow-up logic. We recruit permanent hires who can explain where a break starts and what change belongs in Epic.
A strong analyst separates a build defect from a training, registration, or documentation issue. During interviews, ask how they would investigate a recurring edit. Listen for a sequence: review affected accounts, compare records, inspect router and edit logic, test a controlled change, and document the result.
The right scope depends on your team. One opening may need Resolute HB depth with enough Prelude knowledge to trace registration defects. Another may need PB claims experience and Cadence scheduling knowledge. We help you define the work the analyst will own, the teams they will consult, and the work that stays with other analysts.
What do we ask candidates about?
- Epic certification. We verify the candidate’s active Epic certification status for Resolute HB, Resolute PB, Prelude, Cadence, or the module scope you name. Certification supports vendor-standard build knowledge, but you complete your own credentialing review.
- Charge router logic. We ask candidates to describe how they traced a charge that routed incorrectly. Strong answers distinguish a routing rule issue from missing charge data, department setup, or an upstream interface problem.
- Claim edits and workqueues. We ask how they group recurring edits, decide which pattern merits a build review, and measure whether a change shifts work elsewhere. The goal is not simply closing accounts faster.
- HB and PB boundaries. We ask what changes between hospital and professional billing when an edit appears. Candidates should explain their own module experience instead of claiming equal depth across both areas.
- Prelude and Cadence handoffs. We explore how they assess registration fields, appointment data, referral details, or coverage information when those items affect downstream billing. This reveals whether they can work with front-end teams without blaming them.
- Release and change control. We ask for a specific example of reviewing a vendor update, testing changed logic, recording decisions, and communicating downtime or workflow effects. A candidate should know when a quick fix creates future rework.
We discuss experience and qualifications. Your team assesses clinical ability and completes the credential checks before hiring.
Where do we look, and why would they move?
We approach analysts in health systems using Epic. These professionals may seek a move when their work has narrowed to ticket closure, a planned project has ended, or they want clearer ownership of a billing domain.
We also speak with professionals from revenue cycle consulting firms. Some want a permanent role after frequent project changes or travel. Others prefer to see the results of their build decisions within one organization over time.
Which mistakes stall the search?
Hiring a broad Epic analyst without confirming hands-on work in the billing module that owns your problem.
Treating closed-ticket volume as proof that a candidate can diagnose recurring edits and routing failures.
Skipping questions about release testing, then discovering the analyst has only worked after another team approved changes.

What do employers ask us?
Do we need one analyst for both Resolute HB and PB?
Not always: if your main issue is hospital billing edits or charge routing, deep HB experience may matter more than broad PB exposure. We will screen for the primary module first and identify adjacent experience clearly.
Should Epic certification be mandatory for this search?
That is your decision. Active certification is a useful screen when the hire will build or maintain a named module. Some teams may also consider experienced analysts whose certification history and current scope warrant review.
Can this analyst own Prelude and Cadence issues too?
They can investigate how registration and scheduling data affect billing when their background supports it. Confirm who owns front-end build, training, and workflow decisions before assigning accountability to one person.
How do you assess remote candidates?
We ask about remote collaboration with billing, registration, scheduling, IT, and project teams. You should also define meeting expectations, access controls, onsite project needs, and who approves production changes.
How does your permanent placement fee work?
No upfront fee. You pay only if you hire. We offer a candidate replacement guarantee on standard search agreements. The applicable period and exact terms are set out in the signed client recruiting agreement.
What should you send us about this role?
Send us the role, where the person will work and what needs to change with this hire. We will ask about the work, not just the title. Share any license or schedule limits that could rule someone out before we begin the search.
If you need an Epic revenue cycle analyst for Resolute, Prelude, Cadence, or claims work, tell us where accounts break down and who owns each handoff. We will screen for the build judgment behind the résumé.
